“After I finished recording “Watch You Sleeping” for Blue Foundation’s “Life of a Ghost” album in 2007, I knew right away that I wanted to make a later version with Mark Kozelek from Sun Kil Moon. The mood and the melody as well as the lyrics would be perfect for him. A duet would be the ultimate.

I knew it would be nearly impossible to get him to collaborate. He’s said no to just about everyone who’s asked. He is known to be an uncompromising artist. But I knew he had a weak point – a great song. So I sent him our song and he wrote back right away: “Hey bro, that’s a great song. I would love to do that….” After I finished our vocals I went into the studio to record the instrumental parts. I did five finished versions of the song before I felt it was right - that the song was complete. I help from two old friends Mathias Hantho on violin and Hans Landgreen on guitar. “Dream”, as opposed to “Watch You Sleeping” was written and recorded in the course of a single night in November of 2008.  I feel that Blue Foundation with this small release are heading in new directions towards a new order and waving goodbye to our old ways.
